Welcome to the CaskWidge Website......This year we are happily celebrating our 11th year of trade in the beer industry. Firstly, we would like to thank all of our loyal customers and Cask Marque for inviting us to become Associate Members, with special thanks going to Peter and Tony, whose wealth of knowledge and advice was gratefully received whilst designing some of the CaskWidge accessories. Secondly, we would like to invite any new visitors to have a good look around our site; and if you have any questions that have not been answered in our FAQ section, please do not hesitate to call us. Here you will find our 'step by step' guides to using the CaskWidge System, which shows just how easy the system is to use, and how to clean the system. Thanks also goes to Brian and all at 'The Star Inn the Marsh', for letting us invade their lovely pub and cellar, to film our training videos. During the filming, we dispensed two 9 gallon casks, yielding 70½ pints per cask of crystal clear beer.
  
Cask Widge Cellar Equipment Limited manufactures a system that simplifies dispense and can help you improve the quality of cask conditioned beers. After working with the brewing industry we identified areas of difficulty in delivering cask conditioned beer from cask to customer at the bar and introduced our solution. The 'CaskWidge System' is a Vertical Dispense System that has a Floating Filter that draws the beer from the top of the cask. The Float Head sits under the 'top break' and follows the beer down until it reaches the bottom.
The ‘CaskWidge’ System provides the total ‘Fit & Forget’ upright extraction system eliminating difficulties of real ale extraction, increasing cellar capacity and reducing operating overheads. Simple to use, the system reduces handling problems and safety issues, no need for racking or manual handling devices. 'CaskWidge' works equally well in small cellars restricted by space and large cellars with a high turn over of cask ale. Thanks to Meeko at the Nags Head, Reading for letting us into his busy cellar.
The system provides everything the user requires to tap, vent, sample and connect to a beer line ready for use. Upright casks can be monitored continually and tested using our CaskWidge Clarity Taste Sampler.
The ‘CaskWidge’ System (sometimes referred to as 'cask widgets') has gone through evolutionary improvements bettering the process of dispensing real ale each time. The latest version is stronger, lighter and more cost effective than ever before.
We strive to continually improve the 'CaskWidge' System and already this year we have taken advantage of the latest technology and now supply the Floats made with the latest in silicon tubing, which has a higher tear strength, making it more durable. We have also enhanced the 'T' Pieces to improve the ease of removal from the Cask Tap. In the Web Shop we now supply the Float Tubing and Float Heads for all cask sizes as separate items.
The 'CaskWidge' System is available with the Pipe Connector, Shut-Off Cap and Red 'T' Piece in a 3/4 BSP thread. Following feedback that we have received, this should make life a little easier for those with mixed dispense systems in their cellars (stillage and Widges) or licensees that use beer line cleaning machines. Since January 2011 this version of the Kit is the standard Kit sold to all new customers.
We will be phasing ouot the old version in favour of the 3/4 thread over the next year, but we will continue to supply the original connectors to all our existing customers (pre 2011).

Cask Widge Cellar Equipment has gone international and our system is now as far afield as New Zealand, Canada, Italy, Singapore and Sweden. We have also taken on an American distributor to keep up with our ever expanding American market, both commercial and Homebrewing. We are proud of the fact that our equipment is manufactured in the UK. Our Gloucestershire factory houses our 'pick and pack' service and the administration is dealt with at our Kent Office, where all our sales staff have undertaken a BII Beer and Cellar training course.
